You should ensure that you get up to date materials as out of date material may not teach you the right information.
Driving examiners do not have any quotas, this is a myth. If you drive satisfactorly to pass your test then you will pass.
You can request a friend or instructor be present, however they cannot interfere in any way. If you require an interpreter then they can accompany you, but they must not be an approved driving instructor. You should discuss this with the test center when booking your test.
Yes. When you pass your practical test your full driving licence will entitle you to drive an automatic car only. It will also act as a provisional licence for a car with a manual gearbox. It is possible to take lessons to drive an automatic car. If at any time during your test your examiner considers you to be a danger to other road users they will stop the test immediately. If you feel at any time you are a danger to other road users, you should inform your examiner immediately and pull over when it is safe to do so. It is better to do this and to take more lessons than to risk causing an accident, also taking more lessons will ensure that you are ready to be on the road
Apart from general driving, your test will include an eyesight test, two show me tell me questions, and two special manoeuvres such as turning in the road, reverse parking, parallel parking, reversing round a corner etc. You may also be asked to perform an emergency stop.
Give at least 3 clear working days. If you know you need to cancel earlier than that then notify them as soon as possible.
